Well it had to come, the great Bier de Garde challenge - see who wins? After doing a stunning book review, the Brewmaster is sent ANOTHER beer book to review. Can one get drunk without alcohol, a most interesting experiment was conducted, and the ten best countries to go and have a drink at, you may be surprised! In our technical section, we look at both removing beer stones, and an indepth look at handling, and using caustic soda in a brewery. And song requests are getting out of hand, BUT we play it anyway.

And the guys also talk about their latest go at smoking malt, how to do it, how to use it, and why you should do it at home. Dont miss the new sponsors add that they sent in as they didn’t trust the Brewmaster to do it right, and we give out links to the Beer Tycoon game so you can become a real microbrewery owner. As usual a little feedback, some whinging and ranting, and a song request fulls out the program.

We finish off our series on Beer Drinking Cultured Countries, and we look at the next stage in the alcohol laws in Australia to curb binge drinking. In a first the Brewmaster makes a virtual beer, then drinks the virtual beer, and he also shows the Cellarman off with a proper book review of Beer Money. We continue our series on Lets Speak Strein, and follow thru on the laws that tackle binge drinking; are they working at this early stage? In our international RANT series, we are off to Canada to hear what is upsetting them. We interview the person who solved “That saying”. Learn how to make your own crystal malt from pilsner malt grains, as well as a very interesting take on judging that ANYONE who judges a beer should listen to. Blokeman makes a return, the Weirde And Wacky World Of Beer as always, and more on proper bing drinking laws. Of what limited credibility the Cellarman had, was crushed, and a truly international beer song finishes this program..

A great story on microbrewies in Australia is a must to listen to, and we give an honest opinion on some smaller brewcasts that are out there, some bad, some ok, one very good. An indepth report on future grain shortages, and in our technical section, its back to basics, no REAL basics, as we cover the bare essentials to make a beer that tastes ok, for brewers anywhere in the world. A rather large Weird And Wacky World Of Beer fills a large part of the program and a song request as usual ends proceedings.

The Cellarman starts a new brewing experiment with his solaris wooden barrel, as well as comparing beers made under licence to the beers from the country of origin. Graham in a “Fear No Beer” attitude tastes a beer he hates, and the brewers discuss their latest Stein Beer they made a few days ago with surprising results. More examples of Aussie beer culture are demonstrated, as well as feedback. Yeast management is discussed as they address a specific brewers problem with under-attentuation. And to finish a very popular beer song is replayed.

The Cellarman gets too cocky, and tricks up the Brewmaster with a special beer. We also discuss home roasting of malts, sample a kolsch, and rant some more on beer styles. Yet more Aussie beer history and culture, with an interesting quiz to test your brewing history knowledge - are you up to it? More on the new ways of making sour beers, and the Bush Beer project is slid back in favour of stein beer refinements. Would you believe some listeners are actually learning from the program - listen to see how, and yet another Aussie beer song to finish up.

Lack of internet access does NOT stop the Brewmaster and Cellarman from spreading their beer knowledge. In a full program they cover feedback, sample the mango sour cream lambic and compare a beer review with the real thing. Want more - well our beer super hero’s girlfriend is in danger, a new record for drink driving was set in North Queensland, and the second part of home malting your grain is finalised. No program is complete without a rant, so expect one or two, and country music and beer go together to finish off the show.

In a two part series, the guys will cover all you need to know about home malting your grains; YES you can do it at home. A tasting of the Sour Cream Lambic was well overdue, with surprising results, as more sour beer reports from brewers. We are off to Africa in our International Craftbrewer Series, and we look at a beer review - does it stack up. Bad news on beer and malt prices, Weirde and Wacky World of Beer, - gee what more can we pack in!
